JOCELYN VIGER

INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Jocelyn started his career at De Chazal du Mee (now B.D.O.) and proceeded to South Africa at Coopers & Lybrand International in Durban to serve his articles. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Comm) Degree from the University of Natal and an Honours Degree in Accounting Science (Hons. B. Compt/ C.T.A.) from the University of South Africa. In 1990 he qualified as a Fellow CIMA professional from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (U.K) (F.C.M.A.) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (C.G.M.A.). Whilst working for the multinational Unilever in South-Africa, Jocelyn acquired wide business and general management expertise in different roles as Marketing Accountant, Factory Accountant and Project Accountant. He progressed to Group Management Accountant at the multinational Smith & Nephew where he was involved in major Business development projects. After 17 years in South Africa, he returned to Mauritius to occupy the position of Executive Director of Administration and Finance at the inception of the Mauritius Freeport Development (M.F.D.), the major operator in the Freeport. During his stay at MFD, he held key responsibilities in the area of Human Resources, Quality Management Systems (I.S.O and HACCP implementation), and the Business centre & Industrial zones management. In 2007, he moved to the Integrated Resort Scheme (IRS) sector by joining Enstyle Management Ltd, the Development Management company of Villas Valriche in Bel Ombre. At the completion of this project, he moved to St Aubin group to provide support to management and directors in their restructuration process. In 2015, he joined the Mont Choisy Group to assist in the Golf and IRS development of Le Parc de Mont Choisy. To-date he has been directly involved in development of IRS projects totalling over Mur 20 Billion. He is currently providing finance consultancy services to property developers and, as an elite mentor to SME Mauritius, he is mentoring small local entrepreneurs.
